My brother and sister in-law have so graciously opened their home to us for many years now. We have a lot of fun getting to see everybody and we always have plenty of food to eat for us and to share with friends. God has blessed us all so much and we have so much for which to be thankful.
Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You've done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.
For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.
Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 69:30, KJV
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Psalm 95:2, KJV
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Psalm 100:4, KJV
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.
Revelation 7:12, KJV
Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen
Decorating for Thanksgiving
What is your favorite Thanksgiving Dessert?
My husband has a new favorite. It is my Double Layer Pumpkin Pie that I started making a few years back. Now he wants me to make it every year. Another thing that has become a tradition for me to make is my Cranberry Relish. It is a side dish, but could be used as a light dessert.
I thought it would be fun just to see what everybody's favorite Thanksgiving dessert is?
