Cherry Dump Cake

Have you ever made a Cherry Dump Cake. I like it because you don't have to mix anything up. You layer it in a casserole dish and put it in the oven. It reminds me of a cobbler. It is good served hot or cold. I like it best as soon as it comes out the oven.

1 can Cherry Pie Filling
2 sticks margarine or butter, melted
1 can crushed pineapple
**I like to use the one packed in it's own juice**
1 pkg. dry yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped nuts
**I usually use walnuts, but you can use pecans if you like**
1 can flaked coconut (if desired)
**I have made it with or without the coconut it is good both ways**

Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Layer in pan pie filling, pineapple, dry cake mix, butter, nuts, coconut (if desired). Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

**This recipe came from an old cookbook I have from Summerville Baptist Church.**

Enjoy,

Deborah
